Activity Tasks

To set up activity tasks

  1. On the Activity Types page, the Home action menu, click Tasks to set up the default tasks proposed for all products belonging to this activity type.

These tasks will be assigned on the activity, but the user can modify the tasks for each activity. Also, the products can have their own setup which would override the general one on the activity type.

The Activity Task Schedule List has the following fields:

Field Description
Task Code Unique ID for the task.
Task Description General description of the task.
Task frequency
  • Blank: During the activity.
  • Daily: Daily during the duration of the activity.
  • X Days Before: X number of days before the activity.
  • X Days After: X number of days after the activity.
  • X Minutes Before: X number of minutes before the start.
  • X Minutes After Start: X number of minutes after the start.
  • X Minutes After End: X number of minutes after the end.
  • At Status Change: Issue the task when the status is changed. Use the status filter to specify which status should trigger the task.
X Days/Minutes The x number of days or minutes as specified by task frequency. If set to 0, the task is either at the start of the activity or at the end of the activity.
Time Only set this value if the task should start at a specific time.
Comment Free text comment.
Status Filter Specifies which status triggers the task. Leave blank if the task filter does not apply.

Activity Tasks are the setup of task templates that can be predefined and assigned, either on activity types or activity products.

See the description of Activity Type for more details. Tasks can also be specific for a certain status by using the status filter on the task settings.
